Project Description

Eastern Sierra Farm Fresh is leading a bold, community-driven effort to reimagine how food is grown, shared, and celebrated across our region. Through the Catalyst Grant, we are building a more just and resilient food system—one that uplifts local farmers, nourishes families, and regenerates the land we depend on. Our vision connects the abundance of local orchards and farms with the needs of schools, seniors, and neighbors through gleaning, food preservation, and community composting.

At the heart of the project is a shared belief: that healthy food should be accessible, that waste can become wealth, and that rural communities can lead California in innovation grounded in equity, sustainability, and cooperation. We are growing not only food, but opportunity—training residents, creating green jobs, and forging a circular local economy that benefits everyone. Together, we are planting the seeds of a food future that honors the land, uplifts our people, and strengthens the bonds between us all.
