Project Description
The Keep Sierra Green project is a regional business development initiative focused on improving the clean energy economy by creating quality jobs and sustainable Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) infrastructure.
The program will serve participants in Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa Counties, with a special emphasis on a stronger work force in the rural areas as well as underserved communities.
Presented in partnership with Cal Asian Chamber and the Calaveras Chamber of Commerce, the program will provide no-cost, three-week EVSE technician training courses with in-person instruction by professional experts from ChargerHelp, who have helped certify over 1000 technician since 2020. The course will cover everything from electrical fundamentals to corrective maintenance, including safety certifications like OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E, preparing participants for the SAE International EVSE Technician Certification test.
The first sessions will be held Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Calaveras starting October 6th and November 3rd, 2025, with additional sessions in Tuolumne in March and April, 2026. Spots will be limited to 15 to 20 participants per class, so we encourage those who are interested to apply as soon as possible before the cohorts fill up.
