Eastern Sierra Recreation Collaborative

The Eastern Sierra Regional Capacity (ESRC) Incubator is a step toward building a more resilient, collaborative, and economically vibrant future for the Eastern Sierra. Rooted in a commitment to land, people, and place, the ESRC will bring together public agencies, Tribes, nonprofits, and businesses to work toward shared goals in sustainable recreation, climate resilience, land stewardship, and agriculture.

By filling coordination and funding gaps, the project will empower regional partners to take on big challenges through collective action. The ESRC will align with career pathways developed by Cerro Coso Community College to support students and workers in recreation, forestry, and conservation. Ultimately, this effort aims to weave together a strong network of collaboration, unlock new models for funding and implementation, and uplift the Eastern Sierra’s unique communities by helping them shape their own sustainable, long-term future.
