In a town hall hosted May 28 in Sonora by Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce, local rotary clubs, and other local organizations, California Treasurer Fiona Ma expressed optimism about the state’s economic future and stressed the importance of grants and other government funding resources available to government agencies, non-profits, and businesses.
The Sierra Jobs First team, including Alex Bloom (left), non-voting chair of the Governing Council, and Matt Galvan (right), an Industry Sector Coordinator for Sustainable Rec & Tourism, along with a representative from one of the local tribal roundtables, had the opportunity to meet with Ma and share the great work the Sierra Jobs First collaborative is doing to bring these important funding streams into the region.
